Abstract

Electricity is a necessity in all areas of need nowadays. The large use of several types of electronics makes the quality of electricity poor, therefore observing the quality of electricity needs to be done. However, the limitations of the tool make the observation of the quality of electricity hampered. This research aims to create a prototype that is able to observe the quality of electricity, by applying the standards set by IEEE, IEC and SPLN, as well as testing and getting test results from the prototype. This research was conducted using Picoscope 3204b, Picoscope software, and matlab software through Personal Computer. The research data comes from the function generator in the picoscope. The data represents the current and voltage measurement data on one phase, then matlab calls the data one by one for calculation. Calculations are carried out on each data using electric power quality testing parameters. The measurement results of the parameters are displayed in the GUI made in Matlab Appdesigner with the aim of facilitating the process during the observation. The main contribution of this research is to help the process of observing the quality of electricity in the present and future to be more optimal, effective and efficient.
