Abstract

This research entitled “Dynamics Sekanak Market in Palembng City 2010-2016”. This research is based on the writer’s desire to know about the history of the establishment of Sekanak Market in Palembang which once because a center of trade in Palembang and see how the current market the stesps of Heuristic, Source Critique, Interpretation and Historiography as well as using several approaches of science such s geography, economics, and sociology. The problem of this study is how the dynamics of Sekanak Market from 2010 to 2016 and see what are the factors that influence the dynamics of the Market Sekanak. The purpose of this study is tov reveal and explain how the current market condition of Sekanak and the internal and external factors that influence it. Sekanak Market is one of the oldest markets in Palembang that needs to be observed. In order to be able to compete with other markets, therefore cooperation is needed from all parties, especially the government, market mnagers and traders as actors in economic activities in the market.
