Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bioferlizer application on vegetatif growth and yield of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) and its optimal concentration for sugarcane plants. This research used a Randomized Group Design (RGD) with 1 faktor, namely biofertilizer. The treatments used consisted of P1 (Inorganik fertilizer/control), P2 (2 kg/l Biofertilizer), P3 (3 kg/l Biofertilizer), and P4 (4 kg/l Biofertilizer). The results showed that P4 (4 kg/l Biofertilizer) had a better effect than the other biofertilizer treatments. However, every vegetative growth parameter and yield test showed that the P4 treatment was not significantly different from P1. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the dose of biofertilizer application used has an insignificant effect on vegetative growth and sugarcane yield. Biofertilizer are recommended to be applied to sugarcane farming considering that the doses used are less compared to the use of inorganic fertilizer doses so that biofertilizer are considered more efficient. Future research is recommended to increase the dose of biofertilizer to find a more effective dose for sugarcane plant. The results of this study are utilized as a learning resource in the form of LKPD for learning High School Biology Phase F/Class XII on the material of growth and development of living things.
