Abstract

The results of the study showed that the nutritional status of teenagers based on male gender at SMPN 16 Palembang was mostly underweight, namely 14 respondents (23.3%), 2 respondents with normal nutritional status (3.3%), 10 respondents with normal nutritional status. obese nutrition (33.3%). Meanwhile, regarding the nutritional status of adolescents based on female gender at SMPN 16 Palembang, the majority experienced thin nutritional status, namely 7 respondents (11.6%), 16 respondents with normal nutritional status (26.6%), 3 respondents with obese nutritional status (5 %). There is no statistically significant correlation (p-value>0.05) between macronutrients (fat and protein) and the nutritional status of adolescents. Meanwhile, there is a strong relationship (p-value=0.029) between carbohydrates and the nutritional status of adolescents at SMPN 16 Palembang. In the intake of carbohydrate nutrients, there is a value (r=0.234), which means the strength is moderate. Meanwhile, for fat nutrient intake there is a value (r=0.058), for protein nutrient intake there is a value (r=0.046), and for energy nutrient intake there is (r=0.023).
