Abstract
SUMMARY This study aims to analyze the water balance pattern in the Rupit Watershed using the water balance approach. The methods used include hydraulic analysis, evapotranspiration, population water demand projection, and watershed morphometric analysis using the GIS system. The water balance in this study was analyzed using the FJ. Mock Method. The results showed that the surface runoff discharge in the Rupit Sub-watershed for return periods of 2, 5, 10, 50, and 100 years was 115.96 m2/sec; 197.30 m2/sec; 251.16 m2/sec; 369.68 m2/sec; and 419.80 m2/sec. In addition, the water balance calculation is done using the FJ. The mock method provides monthly information on water conditions in the Rupit Watershed, with the following R80 values (m3/sec): January 8.64; February 12.90; March 15.35; April 6.73; May 3.28; June 5.04; July 8.49; August 3.66; September 6.09; October 3.06; November 6.75; December 3.31. The projection of domestic and non-domestic water needs for 2033 shows the following monthly water needs (m3/sec): January 3.99; February 3.60; March 3.99; April 3.86; May 3.99; June 3.86; July 3.99; August 3.99; September 3.86; October 3.99; November 3.86; December 3.99. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that the water balance analysis uses the FJ method. Mock, supported by land use data interpreted from Remote Sensing data as a basis for assessing Evapotranspiration and GIS Techniques to analyze water availability in the Rupit Watershed area, shows that for the next 10 years in 2033, water availability in the Rupit Watershed is insufficient throughout the year. There is an imbalance in May, August, and December where water availability is lower than the need. Water surplus is almost invisible in this analysis. Keywords: Water Balance, ArcGIS, Hydrology
