Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of laying duck farming on the family economy in Sukamerindu Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a descriptive research type. The population of this study was laying duck entrepreneurs with a sample of 30 entrepreneurs using census sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used observation and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used a simple linear regression formula. The results of the study showed that there was an influence between laying duck farming and the family economy. The results of the R square value showed that the influence of laying duck farming on the family economy was 61.4%, while 38.6% of the family economy was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. It is known that the calculated F value = 4.571 with a significance level of 0.041 <0.05 so that the results of the F test showed that there was an influence of laying duck farming on the family economy. For the regression coefficient figure, a value of 0.153 was obtained. This means that if every 1% increase in the level of laying duck farming, the increase in income will increase by 0.153. The regression coefficient value is plus (+) in this case it is stated that the cultivation of laying ducks has a positive effect on the family economy. The positive effect of the cultivation of laying ducks can be seen from the results of the questionnaire that the majority of people who have a business cultivating laying ducks are able to meet the need for quality food every day, have enough water, and are able to meet daily needs.
