Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know response of paddy hybrid at different time of transplanting. This research was conducted at rice field of swamp area in Karya Jaya Musi II, Kertapati, Palembang from July to October 2007. Design of this research was Split Plot Design with three replications. Main plot was paddy hybrid variety consist of Arize Hibrindo R-l, Pioneer PP 1, Intani-2 and sub plot was time of transplanting consist of 14 after transplanting date, 21 after transplanting date, and 28 after transplanting date. This result of this research indicated that paddy hybrid variety significantly affected on the productive tiller number and higly significantly affected on timing of flowering, the harvest time, weight of 1000 filled grain, and grain weight per plot but did not affect on the plant height, the maximum tiller number, panicle length, panicle number, filled grain percentage and unfilled grain percentage. The time of transplanting significantly affected on the unfilled grain percentage, grain weight per plot and highly affected on the plant height, the maximum tiller number, timing of flowering, the harvest time, and weight of 1000 filled grain but did not affect for the other variable. Thus, interaction of variety and time of transplanting highly significantly affected on the plant height, productive tiller number, timing of flowering, the harvest time and weight of 1000 filled grain but did not affect for other variables. Pioneer PP 1 variety was transplanted at 21 days after planting have growth and yield higher better than other varieties.
