Abstract
The aim of this research was to maintain survival rate of common carp that were infected by A. Hydrophila bacteria with betle vine extract. This research has been conducted from April to May 2009 at Aquaculture Laboratory, Aquaculture program Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. This research was done with Completely Randomize Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The parameters that were measured were survival rate, foods cosumptions, clinical symptoms, and water quality measurement. The result of this research shown that betle vine extract can increase survival rate on common carp that were infected by A. Hydrophila. At 0,1% concentration of betle vine extract can maintain survival rate at 91,67%. The water quality (temperature, pH, DO) characteristics were 27-30°C, 5-7, and 5-8 mgL'1. li
