Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the effect of probiotics on survival rate of prawns larvae ahichis infected by Vibrio harveyi. Research conducted in August until September 2009, at the Aquaculture Laboratory. The method used is the Laboratory Exploration. This study was designed using completely randomized design with ten treatments and three replications . The treatment given was as follows: P1 shrimp are not infected and not inoculated probiotic (negative control); P2 infected shrimp but not inoculated probiotics (positive control); P3 (infected srimp and inoculated with C. pyrenoidosa 104 cells/ml), P4 (infected srimp and inoculated with C. pyrenoidosa 106 cells/ml), P5 (infected srimp and inoculated with Vibrio sp. 102 CFU/ml), P6 (infected srimp and inoculated with Vibrio sp. 104 CFU/ml), P7 (infected srimp and inoculated with C. pyrenoidosa 104 cells/ml + Vibrio sp. 102 CFU/ml), P8 (infected srimp and inoculated with C. pyrenoidosa 104 cells/ml + Vibrio sp. 104 CFU/ml), P9 (infected srimp and inoculated with C. pyrenoidosa 106 cells/ml + Vibrio sp. 102 CFU/ml), P10 (infected srimp and inoculated with C. pyrenoidosa 106 cells/ml + Vibrio sp. 104 CFU/ml). Results show that Vibrio sp. and Chlorella pyrenoidosa probiotic inoculation but lt give significant larval prawns Survival, and but not increasing the growth of length. And leame treatment that produces the highest Survival rate response is the I addition of probiotic treatment with Vibrio sp. 102 CFU/ml and the combination of Vibrio sp 102 and C. pyrenoidosa 104 cells/ml, with the survival rate value is 90% .
