Abstract
The low motivation of students to learn can be caused by the use of learning media that is less varied and used repeatedly. One of the efforts made is by applying media such as the use of Augmented Reality (AR) based technology. This study aims to prove the effect of using Augmented Reality (AR) based learning media with assemblr EDU on students' learning motivation at SMAN 1 Indralaya. This research uses experimental quantitative research methods with Pre-Experimental Design research design in the form of Pretest-posttest Design. The population in this study were all students in grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya who were taking economics subjects. The sampling technique used purposive sampling by considering the low learning motivation in class XI.3. Data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires and observation. The results of the hypothesis test using the paired sample t-test show that the value of tcount ≥ ttable is 8.5013 ≥ 1.68957 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the application of Augmented Reality (AR) based learning media using assemblr EDU on student learning motivation at SMAN 1 Indralaya. So that the application of Augmented Reality (AR) based learning media can be used in learning. For optimal continuity of learning, educators should ensure that all students can access their gadgets first and have stable internet before carrying out learning activities.
