Abstract

The objectives of research were to investigate the population and the level attack of P. xylostella at B. juncea and to observe species of parasitoid of P. xytostetta in Balunijuk, district Merawang, Center Bangka regency. Research was conducted at farm of B. juncea owner by ten farmers. The research was done at first season of October 2005 with 190.5 mm raindrop and second season ofNovember- Desember 2005 with 310.1 mm raindrop. The method used in this research was directly observation on the sampfe plant. Observation was done every 3 days. The data was presented by tabulation. Intensity damage of larvae attack of P. xylosteUa was 9.94% at the first season and 5.44% at the second season. Population of larvae of P. xylostella was 8.28% at the first season and 12.75% at the second season. Pupal population of P. xylostella were 1.63% at the first season and 1.15% at the second season. Intensity damage of larvae of P. xylostella and population of pupae was higher at the second season, but population of larvae was lower at the second season.
