Abstract

Pada era modern ini telah menciptakan hal menarik yang membuat kehidupan menjadi lebih mudah dibidang teknologi, di bidang ini telah banyak memberikan dukungan berupa kontribusi pada kehidupan umat manusia dari berbagai fasilitas seperti komponen otomotif,transportasi dan lain sebagainya. Salah satu peran yang di lakukan untuk memajukan teknologi seperti komposit matrik aluminium yang akan diperkuat menggunakan serbuk besi dan abu terbang. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat fisik dan mekanik dengan melibatkan pengujian kekerasan,densitas,porositas,dan pengamatan struktur mikro permukaan yang akan dijadikan tolak ukur keberhasilan material yang diperkuat. Pengujian ini mengunakan perbandingan fraksi volume aluminium 87,5%, besi 2,5%,abu terbang 10%, besi 5%,abu terbang 7,5%,besi 7,5%,abu terbang 5%,besi 10%,abu terbang 2,5%. Target keberhasilan pengujian ini yaitu material memilki densitas dan kekerasan yang meningkat yang menurunkan porositas.
