Abstract

The purposed of this research was to observe the response for the growth and yields of cucumber where planted with plastic mulch and applicated with bokashi in some level dosages. The research was held on July 2004 to August 2004 and camed out at the research garden of Agriculture Faculty Sriwijaya University Indralaya. The research arranged in Split Plot Design with in 30 units of treatments and three replication. Each unit contained 10 plants, so that got 300 plants. The treatment consisted of two kinds of covering soil planted with M0 = without mulch and Ml = black silver plastic mulch as a main factor. The second was consisted a bokashi level dosages with B0 = control, BI = 5 ton ha'1, B2 = 10 ton ha'1, B3 = 15 ton ha'1 and B4 = 20 ton ha'1 as sub factor. Some variable has observed as followed plant height, flowering time, number of fruit, the weight of fruit, harvesting time and dry weight of plant. The analysis of variance shows that both of the applications of black silver plastic mulch and bokashi in 15 ton ha'1 level has significant by effect on the plant height, flowering time, number of fruit, weight of fruit, pre harvest time and dry weight of plant. It also considered that both of application could increase the cucumber yields to 26,33 ton ha1.
