Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the influence of organics matter plants media and was to look for the kind of compotition between charcoal rice husk and gambir waste on growing and production of mustard (caisim). This research was conducted on June 2004 until August 2004 in Greenhouse of Agriculture Faculty Sriwijaya University Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. The experimental design used in this research was Randomized Block Design with sevent treatments and three groups, each treatments was four plants so that all of 84 plants. The treatments were different compotition between gambir waste and charcoal rice husk; Ml (3 : 0), M2 (5 : 1), M3 (2 : 1), M4 (1 : 1), M5 (1 : 2), M6 (1 :5 ), and M7 (0 : 3). The result of this research showed that compotition organic significantly different in leaf area, leaf chloropyll consist, length root, ffesh and dry weight shoot. The best growth’s media in M3 (2 : 1) which compotition gambir waste 2 kg and 1 kg, was not significantly with M2 (5 : 1) and M4 (1 : 1).
