Abstract

In an organization, each member has a different way and style of speaking from each other, which is influenced by their cultural background, education and personal experience. The Vespa community, in carrying out its social actions, of course has its own internal organizational communication pattern to encourage all its members to remain active and participate in every activity. This research uses the Communication Pattern Theory proposed by Rachmat. This theory explains that communication patterns are processes designed to represent the interrelationship of the elements involved and their continuity, in order to facilitate systematic and logical thinking and use the data collection technique "purposive sampling." This technique means that informants are selected deliberately based on certain predetermined reasons and objectives. The research results show that members maintain organizational solidarity by referring to these five patterns and implementing them in the organizational culture of the community. This is also strengthened by the communication efforts carried out by members of the Vespa Ogan Ilir community using the latest information technology sources, namely WhatsApp and several other social media platforms.
