Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the suitability of land and make recommendations for fertilization of rubber plants. The research was conducted in the Village District Jungkal Pampangan Komering Ogan Ilir regency from November 2010 until January 2011. The method used is to survey the level ef detail with a broad research area of 12 ha. Determination of point observations and soil sampling done by system path. Line spacing 100 m x 100 m and the distance between the observation point 100 m. The results are the actual location of land suitability for rubber plants varies between S2 (quite appropriate) to the class N (not suitable). The area is not suitable (N) and less suitable (S3) is limited by nutrient availability P. Class S2 (moderately suitable) is limited by water availability, nutrient availability of N, P and CEC. Potential land suitability, the entire area of study after giving input/improvements belonging to the suitability class S2 (moderately suitable) but is still limited by the availability of water (rainfall and dry months). Fertilizer recommendations for SPT 1 S2 is 114.13 kg ha'1 fertilizer given in the form of urea, and about 93.75 kg ha'1 fertilizer is given in the form of SP-36, the low CEC soil by adding organic material 100 kg ha'1. In the SPT 2 fertilizer S3 given in the form of SP-36 ranged from 161.29 ka ha'1 to 133.75 kg ha'1. While the SPT 3 fertilizers are in the range between 182.5 kg'1 to 210 kg ha'1 fertilizer into the soil given in the form of SP-36.
