Abstract
Dengue fever (DHF) is a global public health problem that can be transmitted through mosquitoes. The spread of DHF in South Sumatra can be influenced by several risk factors, including physical and biological environmental factors and demographic factors. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of DHF based on physical and biological environmental factors and demographic factors in South Sumatra in 2018-2022. The research design used is a descriptive ecological study design with a spatial approach using QGIS software overlay techniques that show data visualization. Samples from a total of 17 districts / cities for 5 years with a total of 85 samples for dengue prevalence variables, area altitude, population density and poverty level and a sample of 17 districts / cities for 3 years with a total of 51 samples for vector density variables (Free of Larva Numbers and House Index). Bivariate data analysis technique (Spearman-rho) using SPSS application. The results of the spatial analysis showed that there are areas with high prevalence of DHF in 2018-2022, namely Prabumulih City and Lubuklinggau City. The correlation test results showed a significant correlation between the variables of population density and poverty level to the prevalence of DHF in 2018-2022. The correlation test results showed no significant correlation between the variables of area altitude, vector density (Free of Larva Numbers and House Index) to the prevalence of DHF in 2018-2022. It is recommended for the South Sumatra Health Office to intervene in the prevention of DHF by conducting counseling and refreshing jumantik cadres (Flick Monitors).
