Abstract
The objective of this study was to know the effect of co-inoculation of Rigidoporus lignosus isolates belonged to different mycelial compatibility on the white root rot severity. This study has been done in phytopathology laboratory, experimental field and screen house of Plant Pest & Diseases Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University ffom May until September, 2006. The study used rubber seedlings both generated from seeds and young stumps. Isolates used in this were SblO, Ldb, Ldpb and U2. Ali isolates have different mycelial compatibility group. Co-inoculation was conducted by inserting each two piece of rubber wood stick colonized by isolates in all combination. As comparison, single isolates were inoculated using two sticks (single inoculation) and four sticks (double inoculation) of inocula. The result showed that disease severity on single inoculation was lower than both double and co-inoculation. Growth of seedlings was reduced as increasing of disease severity. This result suggested that co-inoculation of Rigidoporus lignosus isolates belonged increased white root rot severity.
