Abstract

Food security and the agricultural sector are critical issues faced by many developing countries, including Indonesia. One initiative taken to address these challenges is through South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC), facilitated by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This study aims to analyze the implementation of cooperation between Indonesia and FAO within the SSTC framework in the field of agriculture and food security. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data obtained from primary sources such as official websites, books, and relevant journals. The findings show that Indonesia's cooperation with FAO under the SSTC scheme has had a positive impact on the development of the agricultural sector and the improvement of food security in developing countries. Programs such as agricultural capacity building, research and technological development, and poverty alleviation through the empowerment of small farmers have successfully enhanced agricultural productivity and sustainability in partner countries. This cooperation also strengthens Indonesia's diplomatic position on the international stage and contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in eradicating hunger and poverty. The success of program implementation is influenced by the power, interests, strategies of the actors involved, and the level of compliance and responsiveness of policy implementers.
