Abstract

According to Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 66 of 2014 concerning Environmental Health Articles 27 and 58, public places have the potential to be a place where health risks occur that have a major impact on the surrounding community. Based on data from the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office (2018) for the percentage who supervised public places was targeted at 76% and realized 81.70% or 107.50%. The importance of sanitation in places of worship, because sanitation also has several other objectives, namely improving, maintaining and restoring health in humans, maximizing production efficiency and producing healthy and safe products from various influences that can cause disease in humans, so the importance of sanitation in places of worship maintains comfort and protects people who come to the mosque from being exposed to disease. This study evaluates the sanitation conditions at the As-Salam Great Mosque of Lubuklinggau City with the aim of preventing environment-based infectious diseases. The methods used in this study include questionnaires, interviews, and observations, with an analytic�evaluative qualitative approach. The results showed that overall the variables studied were location or location, construction, yard sanitation, waste management, waste water management, clean water supply, latrines and urinals, ablution places, inner buildings, and supporting facilities at the As-Salam Great Mosque of Lubuklinggau City were overall good, but there were several variables that did not meet the requirements including yard sanitation, waste management, waste water management, latrines and urinals, ablution places, inner buildings in the prayer equipment section and supporting facilities in the sandal place section. Conclusion Sanitation at the As-Salam Grand Mosque is overall good, but there are still several aspects that need to be improved. Improvement recommendations are suggested so that sanitation in this mosque can meet all applicable standards in accordance with regulations set by the government. Therefore, it is recommended to make improvements in accordance with applicable regulations to ensure a healthier and safer worship environment.
