Abstract

Quail have good egg production and can produce 200-300 eggs per year. Quail performance is influenced by feed consumption, egg production, feed conversion and cage management. Lack of supplementation in quail causes appetite and egg production to decrease so that the quail's nutrition is not absorbed optimally. If the parent bird experiences health problems or serious nutritional deficiencies, there can be a decrease in the production of healthy eggs, a decrease in embryo quality, and an increase in the rate of failure to hatch. This research aims to determine the benefits of aloe vera and guava leaves in improving the performance of quail. The parameters observed in this study included feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion value (FCR). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 2 replications. Treatment consisted of R1 (negative control) without supplementation, R2 supplementation with aloe vera extract (2%), R3 supplementation with aloe vera extract (4%), R4 supplementation with aloe vera extract (2%) + guava leaves (4%), R5 aloe vera extract supplementation (6%). The results of this study indicate that the effect of supplementation of aloe vera extract and guava leaf extract in drinking water on the performance of quail has a significant effect (P<0.05) on body weight gain but has no significant effect (P>0.05) on feed consumption. , feed conversion value (FCR), and offspring mortality (Mortality). The conclusion of this research is that supplementation of aloe vera extract and guava leaves in quail can increase body weight gain but has not been able to increase feed consumption, feed conversion (FCR). Pengaruh Penambahan Ekstrak Lidah Buaya Dan Ekstrak Daun Jambu Biji Pada Air Minum Terhadap Performa Anakan F1 Burung Puyuh (di bimbing oleh FITRI NOVA LIYA LUBIS) Puyuh memiliki produksi telur yang baik dan dapat menghasilkan 200-300 butir pertahun Performa burung puyuh dipengaruhi konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, konversi pakan, dan manajemen kandang. Kurangnya suplementasi pada burung puyuh menyebabkan nafsu makan dan produksi telur menurun sehingga nutrisi burung puyuh tidak diabsorpsi secara optimal Jika induk unggas mengalami masalah kesehatan atau kekurangan nutrisi yang serius, dapat terjadi penurunan produksi telur yang sehat, penurunan kualitas embrio, dan peningkatan tingkat kegagalan penetasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat lidah buaya dan daun jambu biji dalam memperbaiki performa burung puyuh. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini antara lain konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, nilai konversi pakan (FCR). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 2 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas R1(negative control) tidak diberi suplemen, R2 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (2%), R3 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (4%), R4 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (2%) + daun jambu biji (4%), R5 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (6%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengaruh suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya dan ekstrak daun jambu biji dalam air minum terhadap performa burung puyuh berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P.>0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan, nilai konversi pakan (FCR), dan kematian anakan (Mortalitas). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya dan daun jambu biji pada burung puyuh mampu meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan tetapi belum mampu meningkatkan konsumsi pakan, konversi pakan (FCR).
