Abstract

Sriwijaya University's academic information system is built to facilitate the management of electronic data in students and lecturers academic activities at Sriwijaya University. One of the academic activities that is not included in the Sriwijaya University's academic information system is attendance. With the development in the field of technology and information and the higher number of students and lecturers who use Android-based mobile devices especially in the Department of Electrical Engineering of Sriwijaya University, then in the design of this system Formulated the problem of how to design an attendance system using an Android-based mobile device by utilizing QR code in attendance process. The development of this system uses the Agile Extreme Programming (XP) methodology. The frameworks used in this design are CodeIgniter, Ionic and AngularJS. The black box testing and questionnaire methods are used to test the system. The final result of this design is the mobile application based Android and Web systems.
