Abstract

The use of pesticides is a control of plant pests (OPT) which is widely carried out by rice farmers. The use of pesticides can have an impact on humans and the environment. This study aims to determine the impact of farmer compliance in using pesticides on pests, diseases, natural enemies and product safety in rice plants. The study was conducted by calculating the farmer compliance score in the use of pesticides, observing pests, diseases and natural enemies in rice plants, and testing pesticide residues on rice plant grains. The farmer compliance score significantly affects pests, diseases and natural enemies. Pesticide residues in the observed rice grains were not detected due to several factors. The use of pesticides according to recommendations can maintain ecosystem balance and product safety. Keywords: Farmer compliance score, pesticides, pests, diseases, and natural enemies
