Abstract
Teaching fractions is challenging, often due to students' weak understanding of fractional numbers. Errors in understanding and operating fractions are common. Difficulties in teaching fractions are often related to learning methods that focus too much on procedures without understanding the concepts. The Indonesia Realistic Mathematics Education Model (PMRI) emphasizes using real-world contexts to help students better understand the concept of fractions. Through this approach, students can more easily understand and apply the concept of fractions in various real-life situations. The real-world context in this study takes the tourist attractions of Beregam Park and Gegas Lake as the context of learning mathematics about multiplication and division of fractional numbers. Related to these things, this study aims to produce a Local Instructional Theory of Number material using the context of Musi Rawas Tourism. This study uses a design research method, a validation studies type. The subject of the research is PGSD students of PGRI Silampari University. The data were analyzed descriptively through classroom observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the retrospective analysis, Local Instructional Theory was obtained in the form of five stages of student learning trajectories in understanding fractions through the context of tourism, namely, first, understanding the problem in the context of tourism; second, students make mathematical models based on context; third, students complete mathematical models based on context; fourth, creating solutions to contextual problems; fifth, students make mathematical conclusions
