Abstract

This study analyses the effect of changes in haul routes on production costs at PT Inti Bara Perdana using HAULSIM software. On the mining road, there are several mining road geometries that do not meet the standards, including roads that are less wide, and grades that exceed 12%, so an evaluation is needed to improve safety, comfort and increase the speed of the conveyance. The method used in this research is to analyse mine road geometry and road safety factors. After the analysis, it was concluded that it was necessary to widen the road and reduce the grade value using the cut and fill method. The research began with taking actual road geometry data and then comparing it with the theoretical geometry standards using haulers type cat 775F, cat 773, and cat 740. Ideally for conveyance, the width of the road in straight condition is 7.57-21.30 meters, the width of the road in the bend is 12.14-24.86 meters, the crosslope is 4mm/m, the superelevation is 8%, and the grade is 12%. It can be seen that the average speed of the actual loaded conveyance is 12.92km/h and 16.50km/h in empty conditions, while the plan is 25 km/h.
