Abstract

Background: Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean Surgery (ERACS) is a recovery program designed to accelerate recovery, reduce complications, and shorten hospital stays after cesarean section surgery. Given the high rate of cesarean deliveries, effective recovery management is crucial, and the ERACS method offers a promising approach. This study aimed to assess the satisfaction levels of cesarean section patients with ERACS method at RSUD Siti Fatimah Palembang. Methods: This study is an observational descriptive study. Data collection in this study used total sampling technique. This study used primary data through interviews with 203 ERACS patients and secondary data through observation of medical records at RSUD Siti Fatimah Palembang in the September–November 2024 period, then analyzed using the SPSS version 27 application. Results: The majority of cesarean section delivery patients with ERACS method at RSUD Siti Fatimah Palembang were 20–35 years old (88.2%), multiparous (50.7%), length of stay for 2 days (68%), without a disease history (90.6%), gestational age 37–42 weeks (90.1%), obstetric indications (78.3%), without a cesarean section history (61.1%), without an abdominal surgery history (95.1%), and without other surgeries history (90.1%). The majority of patients in this study were very satisfied with preoperative care (82.8%), intraoperative care (87.2%), postoperative care (85.2%), information completeness (42.9%), nausea (81.3%), vomiting frequency (88.7%), pain (57.6%), early mobilization (82.3%), catheter removal (54.2%), and oral intake time accuracy after the ERACS procedure (92.1%). Conclusion: The majority of patients in this study were very satisfied with the ERACS method. Keywords: Cesarean, Cesarean Section, ERACS, Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean Surgery
