Abstract

The purposes of this research were to : (1) analyze the outpouring of working time of plasma farmers in conducting productive and non-productive activities, (2) calculate plasma farmers income ffom outpouring of working time in oil palm farming, (3) analyze the effect of leisure time to plasma farmers income and it’s potential to optimize farmers time. Data were collected in April 2013 at Lais Village Lais Sub District Musi Banyuasin Regency. Method for research used survey method, while for sampling used purposive sampling method. The result of this research showed that : (1) outpouring time of plasma farmers taken from non-productive activities was higher than productive activities, is equal to 576,63 HOK per year, (2) income from palm oil farming was the most higher income than other activities, which was equal to 13.227.077,78 rupiah per year, (3) leisure time made of plasma farmers hadn’t positive effect to plasma farmers income. If leisure time used to optimized, it would not give positive effect to the increase of plasma farmers income.
