Abstract

The purposes of this research were (1) to identify the rice paddy fields farming in Mulyasari Village, (2) to analyze factors influencing rice production in Mulyasari village, (3) to measure farmer’s income at the first and the second rice harvest in Mulyasari village, (4) to analyze the efficiency of rice farming used R/C ratio formula and farming feasibility of rice farming used B/C ratio formula. This research was conducted in Mulyasari Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency on June 2013, used survey method. Sampling method used simple random sampling. Data which have been obtained were primary and secondary then being processed descriptively that describe Farming Analysis. This research showed that the pattem of rice farming in Mulyasari village was still considered less than optimal. The second rice harvest was also less than optimal because of lack of fertilization when the new shoots grew and need more cost of labor in the process of harvesting. The income generated by the farmers in Mulyasari village have obtained ffom harvesting twice, the first harvest was Rp 10.085.894,05/ha/year, the second harvest was Rp 2.290.534,52/ha/ year, and the total income was Rp 12.376.428,57/ha/ year. The factors that influence positively to the rice paddy production in Mulyasari village were land rental fees and amount of fertilization costs. The factors that influence negatively to the rice paddy production were number cost of seed . The factor that have no significant effect to the rice paddy production in Mulyasari village was the cost of pesticides and outpouring of labor costs. R/C ratio of once cultivating twice harvesting rice farming in Mulyasari village 2,778 which more than one. B/C ratio of once cultivating twice harvesting rice farming in Mulyasari village was 1,778 which also more than one. This once cultivating twice harvesting rice farming is suitable.
