Abstract
This test is aimed at mini lathes intended for small industries. Because the role of machine tools, especially lathes, is very necessary in the industrial world. The tolerance standards for machine tool suitability testing (acceptance standards) used as guidelines are procedures developed by (Schlessinger, 1901). in the book Testing Machine Tools made by Dr. Georg Schlesinger. The test results on the lathe machine show that several lathe machine components comply with the ISO 1708 standard. However, it is necessary to carry out further checks on several components that are measured to approach the tolerance limits. For example, in testing the straightness of the carriage movement in the longitudinal direction of the horizontal plane, which has a deviation of 15.9 µm beyond the specified limit, alignment will be carried out between the guide rail and the spindle by making adjustments to the spindle to ensure overall product quality and to produce workpieces. which is precise. Then in the roundness test the tip position exceeds the tolerance limit. In roundness tests, this is generally caused by vibrations due to the lack of rigidity of the lathe construction, so the construction or frame of the lathe must be re-analyzed and changes made in order to reduce the vibrations that occur in the lathe. For now, this lathe can only be used for cutting soft metals such as aluminum. Because the lathe has high vibrations when cutting, it is not yet possible to cut workpieces made from iron.
