Abstract

TikTok-based multimedia is used as a renewable learning medium, especially in learning science on climate change material in grade 7 of SMP Negeri 6 Lahat. The purpose of this study is to produce science learning media that is valid, practical and effective for student learning outcomes. This research uses the Research and Development method applied to science lessons on climate change. The target of this study is grade VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Lahat. The research model used is Alessi and Trollip which includes three stages, namely planning, design and development, then validation is carried out by experts in their respective fields related to this research, namely: experts in materials, languages and media. Data is sourced through interviews, questionnaires and tests. This research has produced valid, practical, and effective products on TikTok-based multimedia climate change materials in improving student learning outcomes. The validation of the material was obtained with a score of 87%, linguists by 89% and media experts by 93% so that the products developed in the category were very valid with a practicality level of 93% including very practical and TikTok-based Multimedia which was effective to improve learning outcomes with an average pretest score of 51.61 and an average posttest score of 86.61 then analyzed N-Gain of 0.72 in the High category. Thus, the products resulting from the development of TikTok-based Multimedia on climate change materials in Junior High Schools can be concluded to be suitable for mass use.
