Abstract

The research purpose to determinethe values of local wisdom that contained in Rumah Limas Palembang. This research used descriptive qualitative approach, so that the social situation in this research is "the values of local wisdom at Rumah Limas Palembang", with details: Rumah Limas Palembang as a place studied, the people who live in Palembang as perpetrators, and the values of local wisdom that contained in Rumah Limas as the activity studied. The samples were obtained by using purposive sampling and snowball sampling technique. The sample of the research was taken 5 people consisting of the people of Palembang, Palembang culture and one of the book's authors of Rumah Limas. Validity test conducted in this research is credibility test, transferability test, dependability test, and confirmability test. Data collection techniques used are documentation, interviews and observation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the results of data analysis documentation, interviews, and observation can be seen that the values of local wisdom in Rumah Limas Palembang namely religious value, aesthetic value , social value, and political value.
