Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between conformity and premarital sexual behaviour in students SMA X Palembang City. The hypothesis of this study there is a relationship between conformity and premarital sexual behaviour behaviour in students SMA X Palembang City. The study population was 254 students of SMA X Palembang City, a sample of 146 students of SMA X Palembang City. The technique used in research sampling is nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. Conformity and premarital sexual behavior were measured by the conformity scale and premarital sexual behavior scale with reference to the aspects of conformity according to Taylor dkk (2012) and the aspects of premarital sexual behavior according to Reiss (1964). The result of the study were analyzed using correlation spearman. The result of the hypothesis show that is obtained a significance level of 0,632 (p>0,005). The result of the hypothesis is not accepted and the results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between conformity and premarital sexual behaviour in students SMA X Palembang City.
