Abstract

One of the natural disasters that often occurs in Indonesia is landslides which usually occur during the rainy season. According to Zuidam (1986) a landslide is the movement of large material from a high place to a lower place caused by the influence of fast or slow gravity. This study uses the storie and bishop index methods. Based on Storie (1978); Reganold & Singer (1979); Hassanusi (2021) the storie index method is a semi-quantitative method that was originally used to classify agricultural land as a basis for crop production capacity in order to determine land use requirements. According to Sugianti, et al. (2014) currently the storie index method is often used to determine the level of landslide vulnerability. The parameters used are slope gradient, soil type, rock type based on geological maps, rainfall, and land use. The Bishop method was introduced in 1955 with a simple section method. This method is used to calculate the safety factor for slope stability by dividing the landslide plane into several sections. This method uses specific gravity and cohesion data and angles based on direct shear analysis. The research location is in the Lubuk Lagan Area and Surrounding Area, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu with a fairly high slope and elevation based on Widyatmanti (2016). 4 landslide locations were found in the research area, namely in Cugung Langu Village, Air Melancar Village, Lubuk Lagan Village, and Gunung Megang Village.
