Abstract

The limited public awareness of the importance of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program for the community is the underlying background of this study, causing most people to not yet be registered for JKN membership.This study aims to analyse the factors related to JKN ownership in the Lubuklinggau branch office area. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 400 respondents. The research found that 135 respondents (73.4%) in Musi Rawas, 72 respondents (48.0%) in Empat Lawang, and 29 respondents (43.9%) in Pagar Alam were enrolled in the JKN program. There is a significant relationship between gender, education, knowledge, occupation, number of family members, income, attitude, family support, between health-seeking behaviour, and catastrophic illness history (p-value<0,05) with JKN ownership in the Lubuklinggau branch office area. It can be concluded that the variable of catastrophic illness history is the most dominant variable that influences JKN ownership in the Lubuklinggau branch office area, where the largest PR value is obtained, which is 13.948. Therefore, health screening is required, both initiated by the local government and BPJS Kesehatan, in order to identify participants' medical histories and to enroll participants who have not yet registered as JKN members.
