Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know how the Adaptation Cultural of Communities Migrant with Communities Local (Study of Adaptation Society Settles Ethnic Bugis with Society Citizen Palembang in the City of Palembang) and to know how about the obstacles that were appeared while adaptation process ethnic Bugis with Society Citizen Palembang. The method use in this research is qualitative descriptive. Data-data obtained based on the result of interview, documentation and direct observation. Result of this research shown that adaptation process ethnic Bugis with Society Citizen Palembang in the city of Palembang based on use prepare dimension, honeymoon dimension, frustation dimension, readjustment dimension, and resolution dimension shown that ethnic Bugis make good adptation process with Society Citizen Palembang until choose to stay in the city of Palembang to continue adptation process and nomads pass ostacle in adaptation process. So that concluded nomads ethnic Bugis made it through ostacle adaptation process and choose to settle down in the city of Palembang because could fully adaptation with communities citizen Palembang.
