Abstract
This triethanolamine plant with 30.000 tonnes/year production capacity is planned to be built on Mulyasari Village, Ciampel, Karawang, West Java Province in 2024 having a 4,5 hectares land area. The process making triethanolamine depend on Patent EP 1.443.036 B2 with amination process of ethylene oxide and ammonia to form main product Trietnaolamine (TEA), with other products Monoethanolamine (MEA) and Diethanolamine (DEA). Type of first reactor is Fixed Bed Reactor operate with 40oC and 78 atm with ZSM-5 catalyst. Type of second reactor is Shell and Tube Reactor operate in 40oC and 9,86 atm without catalyst. The corporate form of this plant is Incorporated Company (Perseroan Terbatas/ PT) with organizational structure of Line and Staff. The plant will be led by a President, with total of 120 labors. According to the economic analyses, this plant is feasible enough to be built since all the following economic parameters have been met. Total Capital Investment (TCI) = US$ 40.218.498,15 Total Production Cost (TPC) = US$ 323.754.948,27 Total Penjualan per Tahun (SP) = US$ 369.515.031,14 Annual Cash Flow = US$ 35.139.540,27 Pay Out Time = 1,04 tahun Rate of Return = 79,6451% Break Even Point = 37,9520% Service Life = 11 tahun
