Abstract

Background: Glaucoma can be defined as progressive optic neuropathy that induces optic disc cupping and retinal ganglion cell apoptosis. Identifying angle of anterior chamber is critical to categorized glaucoma and defined its management. The current reference clinical standard for angle assessment is gonioscopy which is subjective and required patient cooperation. ITC500 as promising parameter in anterior segment optical coherence tomography has good sensitivity and specificity need further analysis in accuracy in order to be implemented in clinical practice Purpose: This study aims to test the validity, reliability, and accuracy of ITC parameter by SS AS-OCT in determining anterior chamber angle in glaucoma patients. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted on a population of patiens with glaucoma at Glaucoma Clinic of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin starting September-December 2024. Sample collection was carried out using the consecutive sampling method and a total 120 eyes met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Demographic characteristic data is presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. Sensitivity and specificity analysis using 2x2 cross table and bivariate analysis chi-square. Result: The majority of subject were female, with mean age of 45.53±14.37 + years old. The most common diagnosis was Primary Open Angle Glaukoma (POAG) (26.7%), diikuti dengan Ocular Hypertension (OHT) (18.3%) dan Normotension Glaucoma (NTG) (13.3%). the sensitivity result were 86.5% and specificity 98.8%, and accuracy value 95.5% to determine close angle of anterior chamber. Conclusion: ITC500 by SS AS-OCT imaging is valid, reliable, and has good accuracy for assessing anterior chamber angle.
