Abstract

This study aims to describe the numeracy skills of seventh grade students on number material using the application of the PMRI approach with the context of Ketek Boats on the Musi River. The research method used in this research is descriptive research. The subjects of this study were students of class VII.A SMP IT Menara Fitrah Indralaya totalling 22 students in the 2024/2025 school year. This study uses data collection techniques of observation, test, and interviews. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion on the indicators of the numeracy dimension, the results show that in solving the problems given 77.27% of students have been able to apply mathematical knowledge, students have shown a positive attitude, most students have used tools as a means that can help solve problems, and 40.90% of students already have a critical orientation by interpreting results and making decisions. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that students of class VII.A SMP IT Menara Fitrah Indralaya have high numeracy skills in solving test questions on number material using the PMRI approach with the context of Ketek Boats on the Musi River.
