Abstract

This study aims to analyze the diffusion process of innovation in the adoption of the Jambi City Population Administration Service Information System Application (SiPaduko) conducted by the Jambi City Population and Civil Registration Office and the form of community decisions in adopting the application. This research uses qualitative research methods, applying the diffusion of innovation theory by Everett M. Rogers. The data in this study were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving various related parties. The results showed that the innovation diffusion process has gone through several stages, from creation to adoption in the community. Furthermore, the community's decision to adopt is influenced by the factors of benefits and usefulness of applications, which provide convenience, transparency, and effectiveness for the resident of Jambi City. Department of Population and Civil Registration of Jambi City is expected to continue to develop the SiPaduko application and optimize socialization activities so that the application can spread more widely in the Jambi City Community.
