Abstract
The aim of this study is to produce a valid and practical multirepresentation-based physics teaching material on gases kinetic theory to the eleventh grade students. This study is a development study by using Rowntree development model consisting of three stages, those are planning stage, development stage, and evaluation stage by using Tessmer evaluation technique which consist of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The data collection technique used expert validation sheet, questionnaire, and observation. Based on the expert review from three scoring aspects, the average score was 4.5 with valid chriteria. The one-to-one evaluation obtained students’ average feedback toward the use of the teaching material was 86.19% with very practical chriteria and in small group evaluation stage the students’ average feedback toward the teaching material was 85.71% classified as practical chriteria. The data results showed that the developing teaching material has been considerably valid and practical. Therefore, the developing teaching material can be used as physics teaching material in high school level.
