Abstract

Laporan ini menyoroti isu tentang perkembangan penduduk di Pangkalan Balai yangmendorong meningkatnya kebutuhan sekolah. Sekolah islam terpadu (SIT)merupakan sekolah formal SD, SMP, SMA yang menggabungkan kurikulum umumdengan kurikulum agama. Perencanaan dan perancangan SIT mempertimbangkankarakteristik dari setiap siswa di masing-masing tingkatan mulai dari SD, SMP, maupun SMA. Perencanaan dan perancangan SIT terdiri dari 7 bangunan berupabangunan SDIT, SMPIT, SMAIT, perpustakaan, masjid, kantin, dan administrasi. Penelitian ini juga memperhatikan tentang aspek alam berupa matahari dan anginyang dirancang sistem pendekatan passive design berupa orientasi bangunan danpenataan bangunan pada tapak. Produk akhirnya adalah setiap bangunan pada tapakyang akan saling terintegrasi menjadi satu kesatuan di bawah naungan Sekolah IslamTerpadu.
