Abstract

Pemodelan matematika penting bagi kehidupan peserta didik, karena memungkinkan peserta didik untuk memecahkan suatu masalah di dunia nyata dengan bantuan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) pada materi aritmetika sosial yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan pemodelan matematis peserta SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desain jenis pengembangan tipe formative research yang terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu priliminery dan self evaluation. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Jayapura Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Timur. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif terhadap hasil observasi, hasil wawancara dan hasil tes peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dikategorikan baik dalam kemampuan pemodelan matematis setelah menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan. Kata Kunci : LKPD, Pemodelan Matematika, Aritmetika Sosial.
