Abstract

Indonesia is a significant producer of crude palm oil (CPO) in Southeast Asia, with a total planted area estimated at 11 million hectares as of 2015. The palm oil commodity has a crucial strategic significance as it serves as the primary raw material for various essential products used by global consumers, including cooking oil and other food industry raw materials. Pest attacks have a significant impact on oil palm, including decreased production and death of oil palm plants. In general, natural enemies can be categorized as parasitoid insects, predatory insects, insect pest pathogens, pest-eating vertebrate animals, and disease-causing antagonistic agents. Predatory spiders exhibit high mobility and are active both during the day and at night.
