Abstract

Palm oil plantations are considered to make a significant contribution to the country's foreign exchange and to promote economic growth and the welfare of the community. The objectives of this research are (1) to analyze the factors that influence the price and quality of palm oil fresh fruit bunches from independent farmers in Marga Baru Village, Muara Lakitan district, Musi Rawas regency. (2) to determine the efforts to increase the selling price of fruit fresh bunches in Marga Baru Village, Muara Lakitan district, Musi Rawas regency. This research was conducted in February 2024. The sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling with a total 44 farmers. The data collection method involved primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that (1) Factors that influence the price and quality of fresh fruit bunches with the highest loading factor value are marketing factors, indicators that have of fresh fruit bunches with a value of 0,976 are information from agricultural institutions in order to help farmers determine accurate prices. (2) Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried it was found that efforts to increase the selling price of fresh fruit bunches can be applied are sophisticated technology tool and machines 0,656 by prioritizing the criteria of production facilities. So, efforts to increase the selling price can be done by improving modern tools and machines so that the production process is faster and produced a quality harvest.
