Abstract
Zn-55Al-Si coatings on Steel was performed with attention t o t ha t cor ros ion in acid chloride environment, the base material with Zn-55-Al-Si coatings serves t o protect the base material form the environent which made ihat material to be corrosion, in an acid environment, the base material with Zn-55Al-Si coating have ability t o corrosion, this research of Zn-55Al-Si coating Steel to study the corrosion behavior the specimen. The method used to test a immersion loss, immersion lost propagation test A STM G1 -03 result the corrosion rate in a acid enviornment on a 48 hours decreasde (96.083 mpy) in to (40.34mpy). the injluence of acid chloride solulion on the corrosion process showed pH 2. Experimenat result showed that corrosion rate of Zn-55Al-Si in acid chloride environment, the type corrosion observed in this investigation was pitting corrosion as a result of localized corrosion Zn in passive film, that seemed to rorm protevlive film on a metal surface hence reducing corrosion rate in acid chloride environment.
