Abstract

Asam Usnat memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi, antibakteri, antioksidan, antibakteri yang berpotensi sebagai luka bakar. Asam usnat termasuk ke dalam golongan BCS II Sehingga asam usnat memiliki kelarutan rendah dalam air. Pengembangan penghantaran obat menggunakan nanoemulsi menjadi alternatif dalam membantu mengatasi keterbatasan tersebut. Tujuan pada penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi Cinnamon Oil dan cremophor RH-40 dari variasi konsentrasi untuk memperoleh formula nanoemulsi asam usnat yang optimum dan uji aktivitas dalam penyembuhan luka bakar. Formula nanoemulsi dioptimalkan menggunakan software Design Expert 13. Formula optimum tepilih berdasarkan analisis respon dengan konsentrasi Cinnamon Oil 4% dan Cremophor RH-40 10% . Hasil karakterisasi formula optimum mendapatkan ukuran partikel sebesar 118,266 nm, PDI 0,315, dan Zeta Potensial -20,833 mV, hasil tersebut mengindikasikan stabilitas nanoemulsi. Berdasarkan uji aktivitas penyembuhan luka bakar formula optimum memiliki hasil yang tidak berbeda signifikan dengan kontrol positif. Dari penelitian ini formula optimum nanoemulsi asam usnat dengan kontrol positif berpotensi menjadi produk alternatif penyembuhan luka bakar.
