Abstract

The research location is in the Datar Lebar and Surrounding Areas which are part of the Bengkulu Basin which has active tectonic conditions. This research was conducted to determine the control of geological structure in determining the zoning of ground movement susceptibility. The geological structure that develops in rocks is known as a weak zone that is susceptible to deformation, whether caused by tectonic activity, weathering or erosion. The condition of the geological structure in an area is one of the main factors causing ground movement. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out geological mapping in areas that have the potential for ground movement. The aim of this research is to identify the level of vulnerability of land movements in the Datar Lebar area and its surroundings by analyzing field data and remote sensing. The field data used is geological structure data in the research area, while remote sensing data analysis is carried out based on the weighting values of several parameters, including distance from the fault, lineament density, type of rock unit, and slope slope with the highest weighting value indicating the most dangerous level of vulnerability. The study results show that the research area is divided into three classes with weighting values, namely very dangerous (14.6 - 20), vulnerable (9.3 - 14.6) and safe (4 - 9.3). Based on these results, areas with a fault distance of <500 meters have a very dangerous level of vulnerability. Based on these results, this research can be a basis for providing suggestions and recommendations for mitigation that can be carried out in the research area.
