Abstract

The purpose of this research were to: 1) Measured the perception of farmers toward Desa Mandiri Pangan Program in Jagolano Village, 2) Measured the implementation of farmers toward Desa Mandiri Pangan Program in Jagolano Village, 3) Analyzed the correlation between perception and implementation of the farmers towards Desa Mandiri Pangan Program in Jagolano Village. This research was conducted in Jagolano Village Ogan Ilir Regency in March until April 2016. Selection of the location of this research is done intentionally (purposive) with the consideration that Jagolano village was quite successful village in implementing Desa Mandiri Pangan Program, characterized by obtaining awards from government. The method used in this research is a survey method. The sampling method in this research using a simple random sampling, which the samples taken as many as 30 samples from 55 population affinity group members. The perception of farmers toward Desa Mandiri Pangan Program in Jagolano Village Ogan Ilir Regency was in good criteria with an average score of 46,9. This shows that the perception of farmers as measured by indicators of the availability, the affordability, and the consumption toward Desa Mandiri Pangan Program was good. The Implementation of farmers toward Desa Mandiri Pangan Program in Jagolano Village Ogan Ilir Regency was in good criteria with an average score of 100.3. This shows that the implementation of Desa Mandiri Pangan Program in Jagolano Village which includes the preparation phase, growth, development and independence was good. Analysis of the relationship between perception and implementation of farmers towards Desa Mandiri Pangan Program at Jagolano Village Ogan Ilir Regency using Spearman rank correlation test at real level α = 0.05 and rs = 0.364 resulting table count rs = 0.22, so the result rs count <rs tables of 0.22 <0.364 then the decision rule is obtained accepted Ho, meaning that there is no relationship between perception and implementation farmers towards Desa Mandiri Pangan Program at the Jagolano Village Ogan Ilir Regency.
