Abstract
Breast cancer is a disease caused by a condition of cells that undergo abnormal mechanisms so that fast, abnormal, and uncontrolled growth occurs. One of the treatments used is chemotherapy. Cancer patients who are given chemotherapy treatment in the treatment process may have things that may be related to drug problems or Drug Related Problems (DRPs). This study aims to determine the relationship between Drug Related Problems (DRPs) of breast cancer patients and chemotherapy obedience at Siti Khadijah Hospital Palembang for the period of December 2024 – January 2025. This research was conducted using medical records and assessments to patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data obtained from medical records and assessments were analyzed using the Chi-square method to see the relationship between DRPs and chemotherapy obedience. The results showed that breast cancer patients were mostly found in the early elderly age (46-55 years) (34.29%) with stage III (94.29%), grade III (91.43%), and with the most use of chemotherapy drugs from the combination of two drugs in the form of Doxorubisin – Docetaxel (64.86%) then DRPs that occurred in breast cancer patients at Siti Khadijah Hospital in the form of too high doses which are widely found in Docetaxel in the TA chemotherapy regimen and side effects in the form of nausea and Hair loss with a higher rate of non- obedience (60%) in following chemotherapy than those who adhered to chemotherapy. There was no association between DRPs and chemotherapy obedience with the Chi-square test with a p-value of 0.582 indicating that there was no significant association between DRPs and chemotherapy obedience.
