Abstract
Pengelolaan air limbah domestik Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Ogan Ilir dilakukan dengan menggabungkan metode adsorpsi menggunakan adsorben arang aktif fiber kelapa sawit dan filtrasi menggunakan membran nanofiltrasi (NF). Adsorben arang aktif fiber kelapa sawit dihasilkan melalui proses pembakaran pada suhu 100ºC selama ±24 jam yang menghasilkan kadar air dan kadar abu masing- masing sebesar 1,179 dan 4,012%. Fiber kelapa sawit diaktivasi menggunakan asam sulfat (H2SO4) kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscope- Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). Proses pengolahan limbah rumah sakit menghasilkan Efektivitas penurunan kadar Amoniak sebesar 94,92% pada tahap adsorpsi dengan menggunakan adsorben fiber sawit, dimana semakin banyak massa adsorben dan semakin lambat laju alirnya, maka semakin tinggi efektivitas penyerapan Amoniaknya. Serta semakin lama waktu operasinya maka semakin banyak Amoniak yang teradsorpsi. Namun pada waktu di menit ke 60 terjadi deadsorpsi yang menandakan Amoniak dalam limbah cair meningkat kembali. Efektifitas penurunan kadar Amoniak pada membran nanofiltrasi mencapai 100% pada beberapa variabel.
